Since 1989 we have been helping to build and maintain the beautiful roadways and parking areas of Northeast Florida and Southeast Georgia. The goal of our family owned and operated business has always been to provide quality service to every customer, every time. We are proud to be a Jacksonville Small and Emerging Business.

In 1989, Mike Mains and Randy Johnson decided to start a small parking lot striping business in preparation for a second career when they retired from the Traffic Engineering department of the City of Jacksonville.

With sound advice and support from Dick and Nancy Krueger, the original owners of Florida Transcor, Mike and Randy’s little business started to grow. It wasn’t long before Mike’s wife Donna and Randy’s wife Joann got involved.

Within a few years, Mike and Randy retired from the city, the two families became M&J Striping incorporated, and our business as we know it was born.

Mike & Donna Mains

Owners

Mike Mains oversees all field operations with over 45 years of experience in the industry. In the mid 1970’s, started working for the City of Jacksonville Traffic Engineering division and rapidly advanced to Supervisor of Signs and Markings where he served over 20 years.

Donna Mains is the President of our company and handles the day-to-day office operations, spanning from estimating and billing to overall customer satisfaction. She is the heartbeat of our family company and has pushed us all to strive to be the best we can be.

Randy & Joann Johnson

Owners

Randy Johnson is our financial guru. He is the one that handles the coordination of all our financial ventures. He too worked in the Traffic Engineering division for over 20 years before retiring to devote himself, full-time, to the growth and prosperity of our family company.

Joann Johnson currently maintains past and present financial records. As the Vice-President, she oversees M&J Striping’s charitable work and community service. With deep roots in the Jacksonville community, Joann stays constantly involved in helping to make our town better place for everyone.

Jennifer Hill

Project Manager

Jennifer Hill is the proud daughter of Mike and Donna Mains. She was raised in the business. Working in the parking lots on the weekends at the age of 16, she has over 20 years of hands-on experience. With a Master’s Degree in Operations Management, she schedules and coordinates all projects from start to finish.
